It appears Venezuela is going the same way as the Soviet Union. It seems most people in this world do not have a spiritual consciousness high enough to go to a more ideal system. Too many people are into the “Satisfactions of Selfishness” so Socialism will not work as has been demonstrated. However, Capitalism is not the ideal but it’s only temporary to address people’s selfishness. Until the consciousness of most people has been raised high enough, we must, unfortunately at this time, stick with a capitalist system in order to address the inherent selfish motives of the individual. But when the people are ready, we, as a planet will move on and seek the ideal system which may still not be the Socialism of today with elites in charge at the top. Spiritual consciousness must evolve. It can’t be forced.
A HIGHER DEGREE OF FREEDOM
Though capital has tended to liberate man, it has greatly complicated his social and industrial organization. The abuse of capital by unfair capitalists does not destroy the fact that it is the basis of modern industrial society. Through capital and invention the present generation enjoys a higher degree of freedom than any that ever preceded it on earth. This is placed on record as a fact and not in justification of the many misuses of capital by thoughtless and selfish custodians. 69:5.15
ON ANOTHER PLANET:
The industrial situation among this people is far from their ideals; capital and labor still have their troubles, but both are becoming adjusted to the plan of sincere co-operation. On this unique continent the workers are increasingly becoming shareholders in all industrial concerns; every intelligent laborer is slowly becoming a small capitalist. 72:5.1
Spiritual insight. The brotherhood of man is, after all, predicated on the recognition of the fatherhood of God. The quickest way to realize the brotherhood of man on Urantia is to effect the spiritual transformation of present-day humanity. The only technique for accelerating the natural trend of social evolution is that of applying spiritual pressure from above, thus augmenting moral insight while enhancing the soul capacity of every mortal to understand and love every other mortal. Mutual understanding and fraternal love are transcendent civilizers and mighty factors in the world-wide realization of the brotherhood of man. 52:6.7
